We have an exciting opportunity for you to join team at Horsham Hospital Intermediate care unit. We are seeking candidates with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who are eager to grow and make a difference. You will have a supervised caseload and a programme of continuing professional development to assist in your progression.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will:
- Provide high-quality, individualized, evidence-based care to all patients.
- Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and dignity of patients at all times.
- Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) to adapt and grow.
- Operate effectively within a team, contributing to team decisions.
- Oversee your own caseload, prioritizing tasks accordingly.
- Educate patients, carers, and peers.
- Maintain accurate records in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) standards.
- Utilize flexible problem-solving skills and outcome measures to demonstrate the effectiveness of your interventions.
You will be supported by Band 7 and Band 6 colleagues and benefit from a comprehensive range of in-service training to meet your learning needs.
If this is your first Band 5 post since graduating, you will be invited to take part in our structured preceptorship programme which aims:
o To successfully help new starters integrate into their new roleo To build confidence and competenceo To help you settle in to your new career with SCFTo To facilitate your journey to a fully autonomous practitioner.
The programme will include a variety of trainings, watched assessments, and opportunities to network and learn throughout your first year in employment.

d) To undertake a holistic assessment of all the patients needs and understand the routes for escalating issues that are not directly resolved by own profession.
e) Formulate and deliver an individual treatment programme based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using specific clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills.
