An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly, established nursing and medical team within the Urgent Treatment Centre/Clinical Assessment Unit at Crawley Hospital.

Our Urgent Treatment Centre provides urgent and unscheduled care, 7 days a week. The Clinical assessment unit offers ambulatory primary care service 6 days a week for the Crawley population and surrounding communities.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the team works co-operatively with the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will ensure the highest possible standards of care are received by patients and their carers while in the units. Works within agreed boundaries of practice giving support to the nurse in charge of the shift and other members of the senior nursing team

Previous experience is essential, ideally in the acute setting. You will receive training in all aspects of urgent care and we will support you to achieving the Care certificate.

With experience and further training, you could further your career in health care opening opportunities to train as anAssistant PractitionerorNursing Associate. With the appropriate qualifications and experience,you could also go on to train as one of the many degree-level healthcare professionals such as a Nurse, Podiatrist, Midwife or Therapist.
