We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 therapist with established skills in paediatrics to join our unique and supportive team at Chailey Clinical Services for 30 hours per week. We are an experienced and friendly team offering excellent support for clinical and professional development through a robust programme of supervision, preceptorship, training and personal development reviews.
Situated in the beautiful countryside, within easy reach of Brighton, Eastbourne and Lewes; Chailey Clinical Services provides specialist multi-professionaladvice, assessment and treatment for children and young adults with multiple and complex disabilities.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of a multidisciplinary service, you will have responsibility for a clinical case load within Chailey Heritage Foundation, a non-maintained special school and residential home that is co-located with Chailey Clinical Services.
You will be responsible for delivering occupational therapy provision which is in line with Education Health and Care Plan recommendations and responsive to the individual health needs of the child or young person. This will include specialist assessment and intervention to support the development of functional and occupational performance skills in the areas self-care, play, use of assistive electronic technology and access to education.
In addition to your clinical caseload, you will also provide supervision to junior members of the team and students, take part in service development, training and audit activities.
