Job summary

We are seeking a qualified Nursery Nurse to join our caring and compassionate School Nursing team. If you are a qualified Nursery Nurse and are looking to join a friendly and supportive Healthy Child Programme team based at Brighton General Hospital in Brighton, then we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

As a Community Nursery Nurse you will work alongside qualified Staff Nurses and School Nurses to deliver elements of the Healthy Child Programme, providing excellent care in home or clinic settings.You will support families with children aged 5-8 with specific health needs such as continence, sleep, healthy eating and parenting/behaviour. You may also support the team with the delivery of additional Universal services such as school drop ins. You will need an excellent understanding of child development and have experience working with families. An understanding of safeguarding issues is desirable, and as we use electronic records, confidence with using IT systems is essential, but training will be given.

We are a small team who cover the Brighton & Hove city area, so ability to travel is important.
