Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Services Manager for our new Specialist Emotional and Wellbeing Health Team - Family Safeguarding.

The Family Safeguarding Model is a strengths-based model and a new way of working in West Sussex so families can stay together, and children can remain safely at home. The model brings together under one roof all the professionals needed to help children, blending children's socialworkers and professionals who work with adults with complex needs to help families in a holistic way.

This is an unique opportunity for a healthcare professional with experience of managing health teams, to lead and develop our specialist health practitioners working within a multidisciplinary team supporting some of our most vulnerable families.

This is a new new role within our Trust, providing a specialist emotional and wellbeing health service within the Family Safeguarding teams based in West Sussex County Council children's social care. The work will be across West Sussex with main team hubs located in Crawley, Bognor and Worthing.

You will have experience of working with adults and families with mental health and complex safeguarding needs and have significant experience building therapeutic relationships with parents and their children where there is a high risk of severe parenting problems, including maltreatment and neglect.

Main duties of the job

Providing operational management, clinical oversight and reporting of the Specialist Emotional and Wellbeing Health Team within Family Safeguarding.

You will facilitate continual learning and service improvement, planning for and ensuring a local learning programme for each practitioner to meet their own identified learning needs and to facilitate the team based needs.

You will provide regular in-depth individual reflective supervision for the health practitioners to ensure high standards of practice and safe delivery of the service.

You will work with others to ensure engagement of local stakeholders and to ensure an effective pathway for identification of adults who can be offered the service.

You will build local relationships with the multidisciplinary team with family safeguarding promoting the importance of emotional health and wellbeing within families.

You will be required to support and cover Clinical Service Manager duties in the wider SCFT Healthy Child Programme teams as required.

You will be working for SCFT but based within the Family Safeguarding Teams. You will be working with Healthy Child Programme (HCP) colleagues and will be the source of expertise for the wider workforce. You will have the support of working with our wider SCFT HCP teams such as Practice Educators and Digital Clinical team and be part of the senior leadership team of the HCP.
