An opportunity for a registered nurse has arisen to work in the Brighton & Hove Leg ulcer Clinics.
We are seeking a dynamic enthusiastic registered nurse to assist in the day to day running and implementation of treatment for patients in a well established leg ulcer clinic. Undertaking manual Doppler ABPI's, differential Diagnosis leg ulceration assessments and a variety of compression bandaging.
Excellent communication skills are essential to work closely with patients, carers and the wider MDT.
You will be working 18 hours per week. Shift pattern is Monday-Friday 08.30-14.30hrs and you will work 3 shifts across 2 leg ulcer clinic sites in the Brighton & Hove locality.
Main duties of the job
Compression bandaging, manual ABPI Doppler assessment and leg ulceration differential diagnosis assessment, ability to interpret results to formulate plan for suitable compression bandaging or garments. Measuring for hosiery and teaching patients to care for their legs are essential skills for the role. Full holistic assessment and care planning, excellent IT skills needed.
About us
We are a relatively small team linked with the community tissue viability nurses. There are plenty of opportunities to undertake further study whether in house, university modules and attend conferences. We also work closely with our acute NHS Trusts locally helping to develop strong working relationships.

Inputs/ records activity levels andoutcomes to meet contractual requirements.Reports relevant information / clinical issues to the line manager and participate in meetings / case conferences as appropriate.
