Do you want to develop your skills as a Senior Physiotherapist? We have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist with an interest and experience in orthopoedics, neurology, amputees and frailty. You will be part of a friendly, dynamic and dedicated multidisciplinary team, delivering rehabilitation to patients in a ward setting.
You will be welcomed into a therapy team of physios, OTs, therapy practitioners and assistants that offers opportunities to develop your skills within a supportive environment. You will work alongside expert clinical, professional and operational leads and specialist staff. You will benefit from access to education opportunities, a structured in-service training programme, regular supervision and appraisal, and peer group development.
Alongside your clinical work, there are opportunities to develop your leadership and management skills. You will support less experienced staff, act as a clinical educator for physiotherapy students, manage your own complex clinical caseload, and work with the Team Leads to ensure the provision of a high quality rehabilitation service for the local population.
Main duties of the job
You will work in adult inpatient rehabilitation, treating a wide variety of conditions, primarily in orthopaedics, frailty, amputees, neurology and medical. The inpatient therapy team works across Bognor Regis War Memorial , Arundel , Zachery Merton and Salvington Lodge Intermediate Care Units. This post is based at Bognor War Memorial Hospital, Intermediate Care Unit and may occasionally include working at the other sites.
Our ideal candidate will enjoy working with primarily older people, be a good problem solver, have excellent communication and clinical skills, and want to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
