We are looking for an Administrator to join our team in Horsham. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for the Post COVID Assessment & Support service. Ensuring that patients, other members of the public, external stakeholders and colleagues within the Trust receive a courteous and supportive response to a range of queries and requests for information.They will be responsible for managing patient bookings and will work closely with the Patient Access & Admin Manager to support them in developing and running an efficient and responsive administrative support function.

Main duties of the job

Acts as a key point of contact for a clinical service. Ensure that patients, other members of the public, external stakeholders and colleagues within the Trust receive a courteous and supportive response to a range of queries and requests for information.

Works closely with the Team Leader for the Post Covid Assessment service to support them in developing and running an efficient and responsive administrative support function.

Qualifications

Essential

  • School leaving qualification (GCSE or equivalent) in maths and English language or able to demonstrate equivalent competence.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in business administration
  • Applicants with a lower level qualification who have equivalent experience will be considered

Experience

Essential

  • Previous administrative working experience
  • Dealing directly with customers, patients and members of the public
  • Communicating effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Handling personally or commercially sensitive information
  • Use of various computer systems for data storage and processing

Desirable

  • Organising workload of others

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

  • Able to respond in a kind and sensitive way to people who may be upset or worried about their health or care
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Skilled in using various software packages including Microsoft Office and System One
  • Fast, accurate keyboard skills
  • Able to communicate and explain administrative procedures and issues in a clear, concise way to a diverse range of people
