We are excited to offer a full time or part time post for Band 5 Registered Nurses (RN Adult). We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to expand our workforce in a busy and well established community team. Rural North Chichester, provides nursing services to an extensive area and has the privilege of working with a diverse population in a rural setting. Our community nurses benefit from having continual opportunities to develop an excellent skillset and become autonomous practitioners whilst working as part of a team delivering high quality, holistic care to patients in their own homes.

Primary Care Networks (PCNs) are an innovative service development involving community nursing. The ambition is to integrate multidisciplinary professionals so health and social care can be delivered seamlessly to those who need it. This has allowed members of the nursing team to work closely alongside a variety of other professionals and specialists whilst developing a full range of clinical skills.

Successful applicants will have a recognised qualification in Adult Nursing.

A UK driving license and a car is essential.

Prior experience in a community setting is not essential as a full induction and training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

This post is ideal for somebody who would like the opportunity to experience community work or develop their interests in the community setting further.

The role incorporates the day to day management of patients within the community under the supervision of the Community Sisters and Clinical Lead, involving a variety of skills including wound care, continence management, palliative care, health promotion, venepuncture, and more.

Training will be available and candidates will be supported with an induction and a personal development plan. Full support will be given to those without community experience to gain the necessary skills required.

We would also welcome newly qualified nurses who will be fully supported with preceptorship.

You must be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

You must hold a full UK driving license and have the use of a car for work purposes.
