Job summary

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an autonomous respiratory clinician (Physiotherapist or Nurse) to work within the Post Covid Assessment and Support Service. The post holder will be assessing and supporting a caseload of patients who have ongoing breathing disorders as a result of Covid 19 infection.

Main duties of the job

The aim of this post is to support patients in the community with ongoing breathlessness as a result of Covid 19 infection. This may involve individual and/ or group therapeutic interventions. As well as providing advice and support to patients on self-management of their condition within their home setting.

Applicants should have a specialist interest in working with respiratory patients and have experience in this area, as well as up to date knowledge of current best practice.

Applicants must be HCPC or NMC registered and able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of working with respiratory patients, and possess a broad range of experience working within the NHS. Good time management and organisational skills are also essential requirements of this post.

It is essential that applicants would be willing to travel to a range of sites across Sussex, as the successful applicant may be required to do this alongside remote working from home.
