Job summary
The Business Support Manager will have a key role to play in supporting the SACT Service Manager in the day-to-day management (Bookings, Prepping & Delivery) of SACT patient care at Velindre Cancer Centre and across outreach services. They will provide the support manager function to the SACT Lead Nurses and the Head & Deputy Head of Nursing to ensure that operations and services aredelivered to the professional and regulatory standards and guidance.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
In addition, the post holder will work closely with the SACT clinical leads, and other directorate teams on business planning and the development and continuous improvement of patient care processes across the whole Integrated Care Directorate.
The post holder will line manage the support services within the directorate e.g. SACT Bookings Team.
The role requires experience of effective staff management, service planning and delivery and excellent communication skills. In addition, the ability to develop effective team working and building and maintaining effective working relationships is paramount.
The ability to communicate effectively; to work well under pressure and to prioritise the demands in a busy and often complex environment are also essential requirements for this role.
