Job summary
The Donor Development Manager is a critical role in the charity and will be responsible for the triangulated development of strategies for donor acquisition, development, and retention, including personalised communication plans by donor segmentation.
The role will identify and research major donor prospects who have an affinity with our work and projects to develop and maintain a robust prospect pipeline of Fundraisers, Ambassadors, Patrons, and Major Donors to support our core work and projects.
With a thorough understanding of each donor pathway, create and develop a range of supporter journeys and communications, ensuring supporters feel valued, involved and informed of the charity's activities, plans and progress, leading to greater acquisition, development and retention.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Understand our strategic priorities and funding needs; to develop individual giving products and write compelling fundraising proposals, campaigns, materials, and case studies to acquire, develop and retain supporters across the fundraising portfolio.
Create and manage a rolling programme of approaches to new and existing supporters, by scheduling meetings and making high-value asks to recruit Fundraisers, Ambassadors, Patrons, and regular high-level gifts and one-off major donations to meet annual targets and secure a robust pipeline of future funding pledges.
