An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly Therapies team in the Integrated Care Directorate at Velindre Cancer Centre on a part-time basis (30.0 hours per week). Flexible working and job share opportunities would be considered.
Main duties of the job
The Highly Specialist Head and Neck Dietitian will work alongside the Dietetic team and the Head and Neck multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high quality service to their patient population. This will include working within the outpatient and multi-disciplinary clinic setting, in addition to ambulatory care and inpatients. The post holder will be responsible for the configuration of dietetic service provision for the Head and Neck population served by Velindre Cancer Centre. Alongside their clinical duties, the successful candidate will undertake service development, quality improvement projects and audit. They will also be responsible for undertaking teaching of other health care professionals and supervision of other Dietitians and undergraduate students.
We are seeking a motivated and organised individual who is an adaptive team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Experience of working as a Dietitian in adult dietetic services at a senior level, experience relevant to Head and Neck cancer services, along with experience of working as a member of a specialist multi-disciplinary team, is a requirement of this post. The successful candidate will need to be able to manage a complex clinical caseload, have excellent time management and prioritisation skills along with audit and research skills.
