Job summary

  • The role of the events & marketing officer will be to provide marketing expertise and skills to the Velindre Oncology Academy in order to promote education content.
  • The post holder will also be responsible for planning and co-ordinating educational events provided by the Academy.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of the Velindre Oncology Academy team to plan, deliver and evaluate high quality, effective multidisciplinary clinical training, clinical skills training, education programmes, conferences and education events within the organisation. The post holder will also contribute to the development of training events and programmes and be responsible for developing a prospectus of learning opportunities. The post holder will monitor market trends, create advertising campaign, develop targeting strategies based on demographic data and develop more awareness of what the company offers.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Marketing related degree or CIM qualification or equivalent
  • Evidence of further development - education / training

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of marketing to a range of audiences including international markets
  • Previous experience of organising events and courses
  • Experience of facilitating training to groups with multiple professions and grades
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications
