Job summary

The Velindre Cancer Centre is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Lead Complementary Therapist. The individual will need to demonstrate appropriate Continuing Professional Development in clinical Complementary Therapies and the skills needed to lead an award winning team that provides specialised interventions for people coping with the impact of cancer.

The Complementary Therapies team at the Velindre Cancer Centre is fully embedded in the wider Multi-disciplinary team and considered integral in providing specialised cancer care to inpatients and outpatients alongside staff of the centre as part of the Trust's health and wellbeing initiative.

Main duties of the job

Over the last few years; the service has transformed and this is an exciting opportunity to further develop Complementary Therapy Services within the NHS. A key aspect of the role is to demonstrate a strategic vision for the service and to design and deliver research findings to strengthen the evidence base of the utilisation of Complementary Therapy in a specialised cancer context.

As the Lead Complementary Therapist you will be responsible for the management of the team on a day to day basis, clinically responsible for the service referrals and you will provide clinical input to the service as required.

This post is fixed term for 3 years due to - meet the needs of the service
