MSK Physiotherapy Assistant - Band 3
Five Rivers Health Centre - Salisbury
15 Hours per week - Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and work alongside a group of experienced and enthusiastic physiotherapists; helping individuals to return from injury, illness and manage long term conditions.
The successful candidate will be motivated to learn and develop skills under the mentorship of the physiotherapists. The position is available in South Wiltshire (Salisbury, Amesbury and Wilton).
You would be supported to provide one to one care, group/class rehabilitation, progress mobility and function and help with return to sport. We strive to improve health and wellbeing so the ability to communicate effectively and educate patients is essential.
You will also support the smooth working of the department on a day-to-day basis. This will include administrative duties such as ordering of equipment, cleaning down and helping reception staff in busy times.
Main duties of the job
Learning and personal development is strongly encouraged and supported. We offer monthly departmental In service training, 1:1 supervision, support from our senior physiotherapist as required and subsidised places on external courses.
Wiltshire Health and Care is an NHS partnership formed by the three local Foundation Trusts which serve Wiltshire: Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. We are responsible for the delivery of adult community health services in Wiltshire. However, this role offers a permanent NHS contract. The MSK service for Wiltshire is based in 11 sites and additional GP clinics with excellent links to our acute hospitals in Bath, Swindon as well as Salisbury.
