Five Rivers Leisure Centre, Salisbury
37.5 hours per week - Permanent
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our growing department as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. We welcome applications for this post from experienced clinicians, new graduates and final year students.
Due to investment from our commissioners, our service has expanded allowing further recruitment opportunities for B5 positions, with full or part-time hours available.
Our service is well respected, and we have developed strong relationships with local GP practices, Orthopaedic and Rheumatology consultants, midwives as well as other healthcare professionals. Patients are able to self refer to our service and we have a growing number of First Contact Physiotherapists (FCP), within the GP practices, who also refer patients to us.
You would be joining a uniquely friendly and supportive team of over 20 full and part time clinicians including Physiotherapists, Clinical Specialists, Physiotherapy Assistants and Administrative staff.
Learning and personal development is strongly encouraged and supported. Our well-organised In-Service Training program includes monthly departmental IST, 1:1 supervision and subsidised places on external courses. In addition, peer support and watched assessments are actively encouraged in order to boost patient care and facilitate learning. Our Clinical Specialists are easily accessible for support with patient assessment and management as required.

Candidates should possess solid assessment and clinical reasoning skills, as well as sound knowledge of evidence-based physiotherapy interventions for common MSK conditions. Good communication skills are essential as the position will require you to work with a variety of people in a fast-paced environment that frequently presents interesting and challenging situations. We are looking for enthusiastic people who are ready to learn and develop.
On joining our team, the successful candidate will build up an interesting and varied musculoskeletal and orthopaedic caseload. We run a variety of classes, which you may choose to be involved in. These classes include: Escape Pain, Upper Limb, Lower Limb, Hydrotherapy, Back, Activate your Back and a gym based rehabilitation class.
In order to fulfil future career aspirations and invest in the long-term proficiencies of our staff we are developing more advanced career pathways in GP practices and Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner clinics.
