Ward Clerk Band 2

Part Time (permanent) - This role will involve weekend and evening work to cover 7 days per week.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable, and committed individual to join our busy team as a Ward Clerk on Longleat Ward at Warminster Community Hospital.

The post holder will be key to the operational day to day management of the unit, working as part of the friendly multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of administrative/clerical tasks, facilitating the patient journey from admission to discharge.

As Ward Clerk you will be the Receptionist and public face of the Unit. Welcoming everyone who comes to the ward as well as answering telephone and responding to emails. Excellent communication skills and a friendly professional persona are essential requirements. Along with good IT skills.

Essential

  • Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to use computer effectively.

  • To have worked previously in a medical, health or social care environment.

  • RSA I or equivalent in typing/word processing/ECDL or equivalent.
