Clinical Lead (Respiratory) - Band 7

Our community Respiratory service is expanding, we are looking for a Nurse or Physiotherapist to lead the team through this exciting period we are a great team.

Our Team has bases across Wiltshire. as a Team Lead you will consolidate and develop this small existing community based Pulmonary rehab, Oxygen and Respiratory Case Management Team for Wiltshire residents using an integrated multi-disciplinary team approach. The Team lead will manage 9 staff across Wiltshire and have a clinical caseload in South or west Locality over the 4-day week.

The multi-disciplinary team, made up of specialist nurses, dietitian, Clinical Psychology, physiotherapists and Assistant Practitioner, clinical support workers can offer support and guidance to respiratory patients who have become acutely unwell and includes acute exacerbations of COPD to reduce hospital admissions, aid early discharge and provide pulmonary rehab.

We are looking for a flexible autonomous practitioner who can work both independently and be a part of a team in our integrated Community Respiratory Team. Previous experience in treating patients with acute and chronic respiratory disease is essential.

Main duties of the job

We are committed to the teaching and development of our staff; this can be offered as a development post with the opportunities to learn and develop skills and knowledge to further their careers in respiratory care. The team covers chronic respiratory disease management including pulmonary rehab and oxygen assessment clinics and home visits.

Applicants need to be enthusiastic and be able to motivate others. They will have excellent communications with patients, families and professionals and be committed to excellence in the workplace.

This is a band 7 post; if the candidate has not undertaken and is not practising non-medical prescriber, the post will be a training post until the qualification can be obtained, there will be full support to develop.

Car drivers are essential as the post involves travelling across Wiltshire.

Home Oxygen Service Assessment and Review (HOS-SR)
