Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner - Band 7
Permanent - 1 WTE - 37.5 hours - Full Time role.
Base - Chippenham Community Hospital
WHC is seeking to recruit and experienced Safeguarding Practitioner who is also comfortable with Mental Capacity Act 2005.
WHC safeguarding team is a small supportive team which sits within the Quality Team, currently there is a Child and Adult Lead and a band 6 seconded post with admin support.
We are responsible for the delivery of evidence-based safeguarding across the life span. Whilst most of the work is adult safeguarding focused.
Main duties of the job
WHC does deliver services to children and there is an expectation that child safeguarding skills will need to be developed if not already present. This would also be in the context of THINK family. We will support you in acquiring any knowledge and skills.
Domestic abuse practice is relevant to both child and adult practice.
There is an expectation that the successful individual will work closely with colleagues in the ICB and at LA.
