Wiltshire Health and Care Early Supported Discharge (ESD) Stroke Team is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist for up to 27 hours. This is a permanent position, however we are flexible and can consider secondment opportunities as well as being open to discussing flexible working patterns. This is based in the South of Wiltshire, although there will be an expectation to travel as the post requires. Again we can be flexible depending on the home location of the applicant.
Main duties of the job
You will be working with a supportive multidisciplinary team comprising Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists and Dietitians.
Based in the community, the team sees patients for up to six weeks following discharge from hospital. The South team is based in Wilton and has close links with the inpatient stroke unit in Salisbury Hospital.
You role will be to provide neurological assessment and treatment for patients who have suffered an acute stroke and implement treatment plans based around their own goals.
A full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential.
