Cedar Ward - Chippenham Community Hospital
37.5 Hours per week - Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well established and respected therapy team who work across a range of Inpatient, community and outpatient services.
The post holder will join the therapy team on Cedar ward a 17 bed IP rehabilitation ward.

The service provides support to three acute trusts and is constantly developing new services to provide the best level of care to the people of Wiltshire.
Main duties of the job
This post will enable the successful applicant to develop both their clinical reasoning and treatment skills further as well as gaining leadership experience across a wide range of services. Support will be provided from the Senior Therapists and the wider team of Nurses, AHPs and Support workers.
You will be an excellent communicator, enthusiastic, flexible and able to work autonomously using strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills as well as supporting complex discharges.
You will demonstrate a desire to work creatively to bring about innovative service development and commit to putting the patient at the centre of your work.
The role of the Band 5 Occupational Therapist is to provide, develop and deliver a specialised and skilled level of Occupational Therapy intervention specific to the service. These vary by rotation but examples will include delivering planned treatment interventions in the frail older adults on the ward including a stroke specialty ward, community visits for patients discharged from the community hospital and supporting the Long COVID service.
