Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Innovation & Improvement Hub (iHub) at the Welsh Blood Service.

We are looking for an ambitious and capable Project and Service Improvement Officer who will be responsible for supporting a range of project, service improvement and change management activities on a day-to-day basis, supporting the organisation in meeting key strategic business aims and goals.

The Innovation & Improvement Hub (iHub) hosts three areas: Projects & Change Management, Capital Planning and Service Improvement. These three areas provide a range of specialist support and advice to the whole of the Welsh Blood Service in terms of project/change management, capital schemes and continuous improvement. The three areas work closely together to support both business-as-usual and organisational change initiatives to ensure the approach and delivery of relevant work meets the necessary requirements and minimises disruption to service delivery.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing support to project management and service improvement activities. This includes providing high-quality project administration to ensure the successful delivery of projects and supporting the Service Improvement Team with the planning, development and delivery of business-as-usual (BAU) activities and the Service Improvement Strategy.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of the position there will be a requirement for the post holder to attend offices at WBS headquarters to work on a regular basis. The post would therefore be unsuitable for anyone looking to work from home/remotely.
