Join our dedicated Desktop and Devices team, supporting a wide variety of Trust programmes with the timely preparation, configuration and deployment of PCs, devices and their accompanying software. You will assist with the development and maintenance of the estate and infrastructure, tackle 2nd line calls and escalations, and contribute to large scale hardware/software rollouts whilst supporting software, hardware and infrastructure change projects organisation wide.You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact whilst developing your technical skills alongside a talented and supportive Digital team. We're looking for someone who can perform to a high standard whilst under pressure in a fast moving, busy and rewarding environment, possessing well developed technical abilities, attention to detail and strong communication skills. Main duties of the job
To provide technical and specialist IT support within the Public Health Wales Desktop and Devices team, focusing on hardware deployment, escalated calls and ensuring seamless functionality for end-users. Take a proactive role in developing and optimising desktop infrastructure, documentation, and systems to meet organisational requirements, including taking lead responsibility for relevant deployment projects. Collaborate with wider IT teams to support their initiatives, with a particular focus on enhancing desktop deployment processes and outcomes.
