THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 10 MONTHS TO 29 MAY 2026 TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

Support the delivery of national screening programmes in Wales by providing essential pathway administration functions, including scheduling, processing data, extracting, and analysing information for participant screening records and handle participant communications.

The post holder is responsible for answering BSW helpline queries along with working in an administrative capacity whilst operating the information system to accurately process invitations, appointments and results in line with programme policies and procedures.

Maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality when managing participant information and programme data.

The post holder will also be the first point of contact for participants wishing to change their screening appointment and/or general queries with regard to the screening process.

Collaborate with team members and other health professionals to ensure the smooth operation of screening pathways.

Main duties of the job

Accurately input, extract, and update confidential participant information using national and bespoke information systems, ensuring adherence to data protection and information governance standards.

Process and verify screening clinical and medical information for relevant participant pathways, ensuring compliance with service procedures, data protection and information governance standards.

Act as the first point of contact, providing guidance on screening policies and procedures to healthcare professionals and participants.

Communicate complex screening rules and procedures to a wide range of stakeholders, including general practitioners and clinicians.

Collaborate with screening teams to support all aspects of service delivery, including clinic setup, processing results, and handling documentation.

Liaise with secondary care services to ensure seamless participant care.

Adhere to national and local protocols, ensuring compliance with data protection and service quality standards.

  • oNVQ level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Care or demonstrable equivalent knowledge and experience with a willingness to work towards a diploma in screening

Desirable

  • oRelevant admin qualifications or IT equivalent
