Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join Public Health Wales as the National Co-ordinator for the Educational Settings team as part of the Health Improvement Division within Public Health Wales. Working with a range of stakeholders at a national and local level, the role will involve providing national oversight of the delivery of the Welsh Network of Health and Well-being Promoting Schools (WNHWPS) and Healthy and Sustainable Pre-schools Scheme programmes.
Main duties of the job
This role will lead the management and coordination of the WNHWPS and HSPSS networks and the associated funding and delivery mechanisms, taking a lead in facilitating stakeholder communications and workforce development across the system. Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; resolving queries as they arise and facilitating opportunities for shared learning and professional development across Wales. The role will be responsible for leading effective communications about the programmes, organising events and meetings to facilitate the effectiveness of the networks. The role will manage the administration and monitoring of the grant process and ensuring the programmes meet the required standards for project delivery, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as necessary.
