Job summary

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 18MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Health Protection Division, for a Senior Service Manager role. The Senior Service Manager will be accountable to the Head of Operations and provide senior leadership support to the Deputy Director of Health Protection for the effective strategic and operational management of the programme, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will have a dynamic and collaborative approach with strong health and social care background and experience in the following areas;

Performance and assurance reporting including ensuring robust mechanisms are in place to communicate effectively and drive service improvement

Strategic and operational planning including responsibility for the development of the Integrated Medium Term Plan

Financial management and compliance including improving efficiency and effectiveness within available resources

Service improvement and transformation including the development of operational change programmes, ensuring effective business and governance arrangements are in place.
