Job summary
Cervical Screening Wales is responsible for the NHS cervical screening programme in Wales, and aims to reduce the incidence of, and morbidity and mortality from, invasive cervical cancer.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Screening Pathway Administrator.
The post holder will work as part of a dedicated team, supporting the cervical screening patient pathway. You will be required to provide efficient and accurate administration services, which will include the processing and validation of results in line with programme policies and procedures, identifying and correcting errors, and updating manual and computerised data systems relating to results and patient outcomes.
The post holder will also require excellent customer service skills, as they will provide first point of contact telephone support for patients and health professionals.
The candidate must be able to follow policies and procedures, and understand the importance of data protection act and confidentiality.
This is a permanent full time position (37.5 hours/week), flexi time policy is operated within the team though service delivery must be priority with office cover required Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00.

Main duties of the job
Cervical Screening Wales is responsible for the NHS cervical screening programme in Wales, and aims to reduce the incidence of, and morbidity and mortality from, invasive cervical cancer.We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can communicate with people of all levels, and can demonstrate working to tight deadlines whilst under pressure. You must be able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders through mix of telephone calls, and email queries.You will need to demonstrate you can concentrate for long periods of time and that you possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy. This is paramount when you code cervical smear results and biopsy information in line with CSW policy.Cervical Screening Wales uses bespoke programmes to run the screening program, you must be able to learn and interrogate multiple data sources to maintain patient records accurately.To enable the accurate recording of cervical smear results and biopsy information you must be able to demonstrate previous experience of data entry and working to policies. Experience in a busy administrative role is essential along with the ability to work flexibly and swap between tasks.The role will require working in an already established team, you will need to be able to demonstrate good team working skills and behaviours.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
