An opportunity has arisen within the Bowel Screening Wales programme for the post of Programme Support Offcer based at the Screening Centre, Magden Park, Llantrisant.
Bowel Screening Wales is one of the adult screening programmes delivered by the Screening Division of Public Health Wales and is responsible for the provision of the bowel screening programme to the eligible population in Wales.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Bowel Screening Wales central management team. Working closely with the Programme's Quality and Improvement managers the post holder will provide operational administration support to workstreams such as optimisation of the bowel screening programme as well as service improvement projects.
As such, prospective candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of managing and implementing projects, producing management information reports and communicating effectively with service users and stakeholders.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The purpose of this new post is to coordinate and support the central management team of Bowel Screening Wales (BSW).
Examples:
- Administration Support - Public Information Group, updating BSW website, document control, arrange service review meetings, manage admin around insourcing documentation, BSIMS training for the central programme team and the wider Specialist Screening Practitioner teams around Wales, co-ordination of BSIMS requests for change, including writing up the change requests.
- Quality Management Support Quality Assurance (QA) visits arranging plus additional duties, managing changes to Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), communicating changes to SOPs and policies, ensuring adherence to SOPs and policies, Run reports and format appropriately, support with updates to Quality Manual, planning/developing and implementing a full range of programme audits, preparing health board performance data to issue.
- Service Improvement - Support Colonoscopist QA reports.
- Project Management Support - Optimisation- support update of plan, and documentation, arrange meeting, record outcomes etc. Support Long Term Agreement (LTA) costing exercise, provide support with demand and financial modelling.
