12-month Secondment opportunity
The People & Organisational Development Team is at the forefront of our mission to create a healthier future for the People of Wales. We are looking for a motivated team player to join our dynamic, forward-thinking group, following a strategic internal succession move.
In this role, you will take the lead in reimagining our workforce planning approach and play a pivotal role in supporting our People Partner Team to integrate workforce planning across our entire organisation. You'll have the freedom to explore creative solutions for achieving success, all while being an integral part of a team dedicated to building a workforce capable of delivering our long-term strategy for the people of Wales.

While you'll be required to attend some in-person meetings in Cardiff each month, you'll enjoy the flexibility to fully embrace WHIWB for the rest of your work.

Main duties of the job
If you are chosen for this role, you will take on a pivotal position that will extend far and wide within the organisation, as you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive guidance and strategic direction that will shape our workforce.
Below are some key of the key deliverables:
Implementing Workforce Planning: You will lead the effort to seamlessly integrate Workforce Planning into the core of our organisation. Your strategic vision and practical execution will ensure that our workforce is agile and effectively aligned with our organisational goals.
Cultivating Succession and Talent Initiatives: Within a carefully crafted Workforce Planning framework, you'll have the opportunity to work with others to develop and nurture Succession and Talent initiatives. Your efforts will identify and support the growth of future leaders who will play a crucial role in our long-term success.
Supporting and Informing Resource Planning Initiatives: Your insights will be instrumental in optimising our resource allocation.
Analysing Recruitment and Retention Data: By delving deep into recruitment and retention data, you will uncover valuable insights that will support our Workforce Planning efforts. Your analyses will guide our decisions and ensure that our workforce is aligned with our strategic objectives.
