Job summary
Public Health Wales' Vaccine Preventable Disease Programme (VPDP) is part of the Health Protection division of Public Health Wales NHS Trust. The programme supports NHS Wales, Welsh Government and immunisers in Wales to deliver immunisation programmes to control vaccine preventable diseases (VPDP).
We are seeking a Web/Digital Content Officer within the VPDP team and the post-holder will be responsible for working with a number of contacts in the VPDP programme to ensure the efficient flow of accurate and timely information to members of the public and health professionals across a range of digital channels. This includes managing, planning and presenting content that is in line with all national vaccination programmes, tailored to specific audiences and optimised for specific digital channels including the website, intranet and social media.
With relevant experience and skills in website design, build and content management you will be responsible for ensuring digital channels are up to date in line with new guidance and information. You will have a keen eye for design and excellent attention to detail to ensure the digital channels provide a positive user experience.
Main duties of the job
The digital channels and hosted content will need to be in line with latest accessibility regulations so the post holder will be familiar with this guidance.
The post holder will:
- Support media relations, public affairs, campaigns, internal, and corporate communications by uploading copy and multimedia assets for digital channels including website, intranet, email and social media
- Support the organisation and delivery of conferences, seminars and other events and report on significant events and meetings
- Effectively develop and communicate messages, survey questions and other relevant content for a variety of audiences
- Develop relationships with key individuals, internal and external to Public Health Wales, to support development and delivery of impactful digital content
- Maintain a log of changes made to websites, intranet and microsites.
