An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Strategy, Planning and Performance Team within the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
The Trust is continuing in its commitment to transform services and develop new ways of working through delivery of the Trust's strategy 'Delivering Excellence' and Integrated Medium-Term Plan (IMTP).
To support delivery of this strategy the Trust has created a Transformation Support Office (TSO) within the Strategy, Planning and Performance Directorate to drive forward delivery of the key projects and programmes required to make our vision a reality.
The Project Support Manager is a new role within the team that will be responsible for supporting the delivery and coordination of complex projects across the organisation. The Project Support Manager will work closely with the Project Managers to ensure a consistent organisational approach to project management and will play a key role in supporting the TSO with key project-relevant administrative tasks.
This is a permanent role and is ideally suited to someone that is ambitious, adaptable, organised, and that possesses strong interpersonal skills. Previous project support and / or experience of providing administrative support will be essential, along with a commitment to personal and team development.
Main duties of the job
The Project Support manager will autonomously manage elements of a specific project as delegated.
The Post holder will also ensure that standard project management methodologies are applied to successfully deliver projects.
Formulate, implement and monitor progress of the projects to ensure that programmes and project work streams are planned, documented, and managed effectively to assist in their successful delivery.
This will also include responsibility for preparing documentation and tracking project plans and benefits.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Provide advice on research activities in new areas taking account of evidence from elsewhere.
