Job summary
The Rostering Systems Manager is a new post within Resourcing and EMS Coordination of the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust. The successful post holder will be the lead specialist responsible for the effective management and performance of the resourcing systems.
The Rostering Systems Manager will have responsibility to identify system improvements, solutions and provide project leadership and management related to the electronic rostering systems and interfaces.

The new post of Rostering Systems Manger will play a pivotal role in the strategic transition and development of the Resourcing function. Main duties of the job
The post holder is the rostering systems lead specialist responsible for ensuring that the Trust has access to high quality workforce data and information to support production by the continual development and improvements of resourcing systems.
The post will require specialist knowledge and skills.
o Technical expert in the resourcing systems.
o First point of contact for all system queries and developments.
o Project leadership and management to ensure a high level of service, the resourcing lead in system development and testing prior to implementing changes to the systems.
o Professional support and guidance to the users of E-Rostering system to improve performance and service delivery.
o System security, ensure that data held in the systems is of a high quality, up to date and adheres to GDPR.
o Freedom to research, design and develop intricate data sets and has the autonomy to change departmental processes to ensure the Trust meets its requirements for staffing and budgetary reporting to align with ESR/Oracle workforce data.

Essential
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject (such as workforce management information systems) or equivalent experience.
- Advanced ICT, Excel qualification or evidence of equivalent operational application.
- Highly specialist knowledge in Management Information System administration and business intelligence.
- Project Management qualification Prince 2 or evidence of knowledge experience.
Desirable
- Specialist Knowledge of rostering systems, demand and capacity, workforce management systems
Experience
Essential
- Evidence of effective system development, management and utilisation of GRS or similar shift allocation e-rostering or workforce management information system.
- Implementing new procedures and systems.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office including advanced excel and MIS database knowledge and skills including the use of pivot tables and SQL (Software Query Language)

- SQL knowledge, Power BI an advantage.
- Experience of working in the NHS and/or an emergency service
