Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for Band 5 Registered Nurses to join our evolving Same Day Emergency Care service.
Older Persons Same Day Emergency Care (OSDEC) is a hub of activity where we provide safe and effective patient treatment, maintaining flow from the Emergency Department and other acute admission areas, including direct admits from the Ambulance Service and supporting admission avoidance.
This is a relatively new service and therefore this is a really exciting time to join a new team, learning new skills and working together to build the service into one that provides an alternative pathway for patients who benefit from the expertise this unit can give. You will have the opportunity to develop and become experts within this field of nursing, working closely together with the Emergency Department, Ambulance Service and the multi disciplinary teams to improve quality, timeliness and appropriateness of care.
We have vacancies for Band 5 nurses who value team working, and have the desire to ensure patients will receive the right care at the right time from compassionate and caring staff. In return we can offer development and support from the MDT, Clinical Practice Educators and other senior nursing staff in honing your skills caring for a wide variety of patients in their care journey
