Are you passionate about developing others, shaping high quality care, and supporting staff to deliver safe and confident practice in a paediatric high acuity environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Paediatric High Dependency Practice Educator to join our dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced paediatric nurse with high dependency knowledge and a passion for education to play a key role in supporting the development of clinical skills, confidence and competence across our paediatric workforce.
As our Paediatric High Dependency Practice Educator, you will work closely with the Senior Nursing Team, Ward Managers, and Learning & Development colleagues to ensure our staff receive high quality, hands on clinical education. You will be visible on the shop floor, actively supporting staff with real time guidance, structured on the job teaching, and skills development in the paediatric high dependency environment.
Your work will directly contribute to strengthening the capability of the team, improving patient experience, and supporting safe, effective care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Provide bedside clinical teaching, coaching, and support to nurses working within the paediatric high dependency pathway
Facilitate the development of competence in managing acutely unwell children and those requiring enhanced monitoring
Support staff through formal and informal learning: simulations, skills sessions, competency signoff, and reflective practice
Promote a positive learning culture that empowers staff and builds confidence
Assist with identifying learning needs and developing structured training plans
Ensure best practice, guidelines, and quality standards are embedded in daytoday clinical care
Contribute to service development and education initiatives that enhance safety and quality
Support new starters, student nurses, and internationally educated nurses as they transition into practice
