Job responsibilities
- Commission, calibrate and maintaina wide range of complex medical devices.
- Diagnose faultsusing investigation and testing, and communicate findings to users and suppliers.
- Provide user training and demonstrationsto clinical staff to improve device safety and effectiveness.
- Keep accurate maintenance recordsusing computerised systems to support audits and quality monitoring.
- Manage parts and consumables, placing orders to maintain serviceability.
- Support instrumentation interfaceswith clinical IT systems and liaise with IM&T as needed.

- BEng/BSc in electronics or a scientific subject, or HNC/HND working towards a degree.
Desirable
- Manufacturer training, membership of a professional institute, or registration with the Register of Clinical Technologists.
Experience

- At least 18 months with electronic and electromechanical systems; experience with medical devices and healthcare environments is highly desirable.

- Skills: Strong initiative, excellent communication, IT literacy, and the ability to organise your own workload.
- Practical: Full driving licence for van use, physically fit to move and handle equipment; comfortable working around critically unwell patients.
