  Healthcare Support worker Band 2 or 3 (Dependent on Experience & Interview Performance)
Work Location: Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham
Hours per week: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (will consider part time, minimum 22.5)

  Main duties of the job
  You will start your career with us by taking part in our full time two week induction programme, designed to support you in finding your feet within our organisation, and enable you to feel part of the team. The induction program leads to the Care Certificate.
The HCSW role includes a variety of working patterns which attract shift allowances.

- Undertakes personal care duties: bathing, toileting, dressing, support with meals, assist patients with their appearance.

Band 3 job summary
- Undertakes personal care duties: bathing, toileting, dressing, support with meals, assist patients with their appearance.
  - Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community or other settings.
  - Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions.
  - Carries out limited clinical care duties.
  - Undertakes a limited range of delegated clinical care duties relevant to the services provided/work area and records patient observations: e.g. taking blood pressure, blood glucose monitoring, pregnancy testing, routine maternal and neonatal observations, observing patients for signs of agitation or distress, wound observations and simple wound dressings, removal of peripheral cannula urinalysis, removal of catheter with appropriate training and competencies.
