Job summary

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust is looking to appoint a dedicated and flexible full-time Consultant Physician in Rehabilitation Medicine. This is a replacement post that offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of specialist rehabilitation services in Portsmouth and South-East Hampshire.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will join a team of two other Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine, providing comprehensive services across the region.
This role is pivotal in improving, strengthening, and developing specialist services, with a focus on both Neurorehabilitation and Prosthetic Rehabilitation, adaptable to the appointee's interests and negotiations.

Collaborate with the Wessex Trauma Network, enhancing regional trauma rehabilitation services.
Contribute to the development and governance of Rehabilitation services.
Engage in Educational Supervision, Departmental, and Care Group leadership roles.
Participate in service improvement projects, audits, and represent the service at Royal College and national levels.
Opportunity to develop a research portfolio.
