Portsmouth University Hospital Trust is recruiting Band 5 radiographers with a passion for x-ray. We welcome applications from student radiographers due to graduate in the summer of 2025, as well as qualified radiographers wishing to relocate to a new challenge. Main duties of the job
We know how important it is to be on the right career pathway for you, whether this is through rotational opportunities across the wider imaging specialties, developing advanced practice or leadership and management progression plans, we offer the support and encouragement to achieve these goals. We offer experience across a wide range of Imaging specialties including: X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Paediatrics, Trauma, Cardiology, Intervention and opportunities to experience other imaging modalities. We have recently re-introduced a CT rotation for those keen to maintain basic skills.

To conduct
diagnostic radiography examinations across a range of general radiography, upon
a range of patient types both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a
multi professional team, in a manner that meets professional, departmental,
Trust and legal standards and requirements.
To independently
assess each patient and adapt radiographic techniques according to the needs of
the patient.
To use
professional discretion and experience to ensure that clinical practice is
carried out correctly, professionally and within the legal framework.
Able
to interpret Clinicians requirements, to determine the appropriate
radiographic technique and ensure that it is performed in accordance with best
practice and that the resultant images are diagnostic.
Able
