Main duties of the job

Are you thinking about joining the world of Cardiology? We have a part time (30 hours) opportunity to join our small but caring Cardiac Physiologists team.You will work as part of the Cardiac investigations unit providing high quality Cardiac diagnostics, putting the care of the patient first. You will participate in the day-to-day service delivery as part of the ECG team andundertake routine clinical physiological tests under supervision, for clinical diagnosis.

We aim for you to work towards educational development e.g SCST award in Practical Electrocardiography. You will undergo in house assessments of basic ECG interpretation, supported by senior Cardiographers. Full training will be provided

The post holder may be required to undertake duties within Cardiac OPD reception supporting the smooth running of service,

Job responsibilities

Working towards accurately performing all ECGs to SCST standards on patients of all ages and in all clinical conditions.

Ensuring correct documentation and calibration of the equipment.

Application and removal of ambulatory Cardiac and BP monitoring equipment.

Evaluation of the Novacor systems

Assist with stock management, ensuring all rooms are stocked, liaising with the stock coordinator

Use of the departmental information systems to register and track patients, to check results and appointments.

Preparing patients for clinic by undertaking height, weight and accurately monitoring blood pressures prior to medical assessmen
