Staff are encouraged to continually develop towards the next step in their career and we have a band 6 rotational programme to support this.
Main duties of the job
You will work within the Queen Alexandra Hospital site as part of the Acute Dietetic team providing dietetic input to patients falling within your rotation. Working closely with the other band 5 dietitians, you will prioritise dietetic referrals alongside your active caseload to ensure patients are seen appropriately. You will work closely with the appropriate specialist MDTs to develop the dietetic services alongside dietitians within the acute and community teams. The rotations include a weekly clinic that is covered between the rotations.
Personal and service development is valued within the department and you will be supported to complete the competencies for your rotation and make the most of learning from our specialist teams in paediatrics, renal, head and neck cancer, oesophagogastric and intestinal failure specialities. The post holder will be encouraged to take part in leadership training and will be enrolled in the trusts management training. Service review and development is a key part of all our post and you will supported to develop analytical and research skills.
