Deliver a first-class service within our Haematology Oncology department. To be able to demonstrate administration support for Haematology Oncology Day Unit (HODU) including the scheduling team and HODU nursing team with all administration tasks.

Main duties of the job

Receiving at times 200 patients through the day unit in one day, seeing to patients, managing your own workload with the demands in the busy HODU department.

Excellent communication skills, a flexible approach, ability to meet tight deadlines and interact with a wide variety of patients and staff within the Trust is vital to this position.

Working together and being part of a dedicated team is essential as ensuring the patient experience is paramount.

This post is demanding, challenging, and extremely rewarding and includes working between the hours of 8am to 5pm to ensure daily tasks for the HODU staff are undertaken in a timely manner and to ensure smooth running of the department.

This post is 18 hours per week, and you will be required to work the occasional Saturday and Bank Holidays.
