Main duties of the job

The Radiotherapy Physics Section of the Portsmouth Medical Physics Department is a team we are proud of here at PHU. We are looking to appoint into a band 4 Radiotherapy Physics Technologist Apprentice (Healthcare Science Associate Practitioner) to join the established, friendly and enthusiastic team of 22. We will aid and support you in completing a Healthcare Science Level 6 Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship is a three-year course resulting in a specialist qualification in Healthcare Science, providing the theoretical and practical skills required for a career as a Clinical Technologist in HealthCare Science. 3 A-Levels (minimum BBC predicted or attained), including at least one relevant STEM subject (e.g. physics, maths, engineering)
Alternative qualifications will be considered, including:
T-Level qualification (A-C in core components) in either Healthcare Science or Science
BTEC Level 4 Diploma in Healthcare Science
BTEC National Extended Diploma (minimum MMM), including at least one relevant STEM subject
