Main duties of the job
We aim to develop staff once established within their primary clinical area, by facilitating rotational positions into at least 2 areas of Operating Department Practice (Recovery, Scrub and Anaesthetics). Opportunities may also be available to rotate into Critical Care for those who want to expand their skillset further. We are always keen to recognise talent and offer the opportunity to advance in different specialties by encouraging rotation and the acquisition of new skills. We encourage our staff to undertake Leadership and Management courses and empower them to develop leadership skills as well as essential clinical-decision making skills to progress within the perioperative environment.

You will be supported by an enthusiastic team of staff to help you develop skills in caring for patients across a range of specialties. You will be given the opportunity to undertake a competency based training package and will be supported via the allocation of a suitable mentor and/or buddy system. We also have a number of dedicated Educational/Training mornings identified throughout the year and an excellent IT facility to support with on-line training.
To enable your development, we have a dedicated team of Educational Practitioners who are focused on delivering a meaningful and achievable Educational programme.

- Evidence of study at Degree level /Experience in relevant field
- Evidence of recent CPD
