Job summary
The MRI/CT department at the Queen Alexandra hospital currently has vacancies for enthusiastic, driven and motivated band 6 radiographers with significant CT and/or MRI experience to join our team. Ideally the successful candidate/s will also have experience of working within the NHS and evidence of leadership capabilities.
Main duties of the job
The Department
The department has the benefit of cutting-edge CT and MRI technology and provides staff with the exciting opportunity to work with the latest Toshiba Aquilion One CT scanner and 3T MRI technology in a clinical setting. The department is equipped with 4 CT scanners and 3 MRI scanners with all staff encouraged to rotate through both modalities.
We are a busy, progressive unit, with a very friendly and caring atmosphere, currently operating a 12-hour shift system over 7 days. There is also a requirement to contribute to the night shift and on-call rotas.
Queen Alexandra Hospital is a multidiscipline hospital and offers a full clinical range of examinations and experience and is a leading center for head and neck cancers, renal patients with a hyper-acute emergency department.
