Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and driven SACT Bookings Team Leader to lead the SACT Bookings and Prepping Co-ordination team within the Systemic Therapies Directorate. The post holder will ensure that an efficient and effective service is provided to patients, ensuring that treatments are scheduled within target times and that patients are informed of all appointments.
We are seeking a skilled, reliable and highly organised individual with excellent communication, leadership and organisation skills. The post holder will need to have experience of Microsoft Office packages - World, Excel and Teams; excellent word processing/typing skills; exceptional organisational abilities and the capability to work in a confidential manner are of paramount importance in this role. The ability to communicate effectively; to work well under pressure and to prioritise the demands in a busy environment are also essential.
Main duties of the job
- Be responsible for managing and overseeing an efficient, high quality booking and scheduling service across all SACT day case units including outreach clinics.
- Effectively analyse workload and staff rotas
- Manage patient escalation list to ensure compliance with Trust / Welsh Government targets, escalating potential breaches as per policy / procedure.
- Contribute to reporting mechanisms, collection of data and conducting audits
- Maintain a high quality of service to patients, carers and other visitors
- Be responsible for all personnel functions and training of Chemotherapy Booking/Prepping Co-Ordinators
