Job summary

We have an exciting new Programme Manager role within the Digital Programmes team for up to 12 months, to work collaboratively with colleagues in the Velindre University NHS Trust Charity team, delivering a programme of new digital systems that support the Charity's national fundraising agendas.

In this role, you will be the architect of change, responsible for the tactical oversight and operational delivery of the Charity's digital programme.

You'll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the Charity, our finance, and Digital Services teams, ensuring that the Charity's digital products aligns with our overarching vision while also meeting specific operational goals. Your leadership will ensure that project milestones are met on time and within budget, driving the programme towards its goal of delivering a unified and modernised donor and staff experience for our stakeholders.

As the Programme Manager you will not only manage a dedicated Business Analyst, but also engage with a variety of internal and external partners and stakeholders, fostering relationships that encourage collaboration and innovation. Main duties of the job

The role of the Programme Manager will be to directly manage the Digital Programme of projects on behalf Velindre Fundraising Charity as delegated. Ensure that all Programme and Project resources are prioritised and appropriately utilised within the service to ensure the maximum delivery of benefits. Strategically plan and align projects within the service to deliver organisational objectives that support delivery of the overarching Velindre Fundraising Charity strategy.

The post holder will be required to lead the project team to drive and support the delivery of key projects across a varied and complex range of work requirements, in a highly regulated environment. Work in close collaboration with the wider Divisions within the Trust to ensure projects are aligned to the strategic aims.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the robust design, planning and implementation of the digital programme of work, liaising with the lead subject matter expert and co-ordinating with other specialist contributors. This will involve prioritisation and co-ordination of a complex range of factors.

  • Educated to relevant Master's Degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Registered Portfolio Project Management (PPM) Professional - PRINCE2 and MSP or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. ECDL Level 2 or equivalent.

  • Significant management experience, including staff management
  • Experience of successfully leading and implementing projects / programmes at a national level.
