Job summary
This is a senior role for a qualified Accountant to provide a comprehensive, high quality & in-depth financial management service to support the Trust's Capital Programmes. The postholder will be responsible to the Head of Financial Planning and Reporting and will produce the Trust Capital Finance Strategy and support the Trust's Core Divisions, particularly on their large and complex Capital Schemes.
This will be an exciting role as the Trust continues with its build of a new Cancer Centre, the associated Integrated Radiotherapy Solution, development of a Satellite Radiotherapy Unit and new infrastructure in the current Welsh Blood Service Headquarters.
Main duties of the job
The key elements of this post will include producing the Trust's Capital Financial Strategy and financial reports, including those required to meet statutory and technical requirements. The post holder will provide strategic capital financial planning advice to the Trust's Divisional Directors and Senior Managers and will provide financial information for the annual, three year Integrated Medium Plan.
In addition, the post holder will lead the operational financial management for the schemes within the Capital Programme, supporting business case development and providing technical and accounting advice on specific projects.
As a senior member of the Trust's Finance team, the post holder will be required to share knowledge and work across the Trust wide finance team and deputise for the Head of Financial Planning and Reporting when necessary.
