Job summary
This is a creative role within the Charity team that will support in the writing of content for the charity's marketing and communication projects. This includes but not limited to website content, press releases, stories, newsletters, mass emails, stewardship comms and charity literature.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Collate, write and seek-out stories from patients, relatives, staff and supporters that can be used for charity marketing and comms projects.Engage supporters by writing engaging content in line with brand messaging, tone of voice and aims.Provide copywriting and editorial support across the organisation's digital channels and print.
Work closely with the Charity Brand Manager to undertake writing projects that bring value to the charity.
Drafting and editing content and working with the wider team to distribute content across the organisation's publishing and communication channels.
Identify key copywriting opportunities to help promote the charity.With the support of the Charity Brand Manager create and clear and consistent brand tone of voice across all written content.

Source and write/repurpose news stories and messaging for targeted audiences and channels.Support the Charity Brand Manager in writing the charitys editorial content for a wide range of uses and platforms, including but not limited to case studies, website, print, social media, events.Work with other internal teams on editorial opportunities.Work with the fundraising team to write promotional content for Velindre events.Support the Charity Brand Manager in the creation of charity core messaging, campaigns, and literature.Produce a range of short and long-form copy that aligns with brand tone of voice.Plan and research into writing styles, identifying key ways to increase engagement and support for the charity.Work with the Charity Brand Manager and Donor Development manager to support in the writing of stewardship journeys across the charity.Work with the wider creative team to develop high-value social media content to be shared with our audiences.

General Responsibility:
Support the Charity Team in any administrative activity as requested by the Charity Brand Manager.
You will take part in campaign planning and creative brainstorming sessions, showcasing a confidence to share ideas on how we can fundraise and communicate with our donors successfully.
Positively representing the team when liaising on charity fundraising related matters with relevant internal and external partners, suppliers, and other agencies.
Maintaining an overall knowledge of our digital channels, including all social media, website and intranet.
Support colleagues on digital fundraising event and promotion planning, offering advice and guidance where necessary.
Provide accurate and timely information to a high standard.
Work with the creative team to build on content and create supporting website and blog posts to compliment social media output.
Support with the creation and assembly of materials for engagement and promotional events digitally and on paper.
Update and support the creative team in maintaining the internal Intranet site, ensuring we are engaging with staff at the cancer centre.
Work with the Charity Brand Manager and Donor Support Manager to create a bank of fundraising and promotional materials for events and general donor engagement.
Attend events, presentations, and content days to engage with supporters and create connections for future editorials.
