Are you organised, compassionate and ready to play a crucial role in a busy, growing Medical Imaging service? Were looking for an enthusiastic Booking Clerk / Receptionist to join our dynamic administrative team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
As one of our Booking Clerks, you will provide professional, efficient and effective appointmentbooking and receptionist services, acting as a welcoming and reassuring public face for the Trust.
This role is highly varied, combining complex medical imaging bookings with frontofhouse duties in a fastpaced department. You will specialise in one imaging modality such as MRI, CT or Ultrasound becoming an expert in managing:
- Urgent and routine appointments
- Waiting lists and capacity
- Cancellations and rebooking
- Specialist booking criteria

What Youll Be Doing
- Delivering a professional, friendly and efficient service to patients, visitors and staff
- Completing complex specialist bookings with accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Handling phone and email enquiries, often from anxious or distressed patients, using tact, empathy and clear communication
- Supporting a busy reception area and providing excellent frontofhouse care
- Managing confidential patient information with absolute professionalism
- Undertaking general clerical duties to maximise outpatient capacity and support the smooth running of the service.

Previous administrative or customer service experience is desirable, though full training will be given. Your attitude, empathy and reliability are just as important.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. 5 days per week with various shift patterns between the hours of 7.30am and 8pm This will include occasional weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. The majority of the shifts will be either 8am until 4pm, or 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday.
